Freelance Business Analyst IoT/Cloud

Position description
In this position, you serve as the bridge between different business departments—marketing, operations, service teams, product organizations—and the technical side of the company, including solution architects and developers. Your main responsibility is to ensure that business expectations are clearly captured, fully understood, and translated into meaningful deliverables. You will gather and refine requirements, turn them into well‑structured user stories, help with prioritization, and support validation and release activities. Working closely with architects, developers, and QA engineers, you help safeguard that the platform evolves in line with current and future needs.
You will be the go‑to person for discussions on functional design, integration requirements, and the roadmap for domain services, APIs, and supporting systems. While you wont be developing technical components yourself, you ensure that what is built is feasible, valuable, and aligned with the functional vision.
You will also contribute to refinement meetings, technical discussions, and cross‑team workshops to keep the platform robust, scalable, reliable, and secure. Staying informed about new trends in IoT, cloud solutions, and data platforms is part of the job, and youre encouraged to explore emerging technologies, industry literature, and best practices.
Your profile
- Experience as business/functional analyst
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to understand concepts such as web interfaces, backend processes, databases, and APIs—not to code, but to evaluate functional impact and technical constraints
- Experience working with stakeholders to shape and implement business cases
- Solid communication, planning, and prioritization skills
- Familiarity with Scrum, scaled agile environments, and cross‑team collaboration
- Affinity with IoT, cloud platforms, and modern integration approaches
